even my peanut butter is buff

Because I’m like a smaller, female version of Arnold Shwarzenegger (in my head), one of my favourite places to go on a shopping spree is GNC. I love that store. I love all the protein powder, and protein bars, and protein puddings, and protein shakes…I like protein a lot, and I love an excuse to eat a chocolate bar “for health.” So whenever I see a new and delicious product, I usually buy it and immediately eat it and then congratulate myself on how healthy and jacked I probably am. Imagine my delight when I found this gem: Snaclite PowerPB, a peanut butter infused with protein and flax seeds. Finally, a way to lessen my guilt at eating entire jars of peanut butter with a spoon! Sold.

This stuff is pretty good – not your standard grocery store, super sweet PB, and not quite your natural PB either. The various additions to this spread gives it a less sweet, more heavy taste, so you may actually not want to eat the entire jar in one sitting, which is a bonus. With 24g of protein per four-tablespoon serving, a dollop of this stuff on a banana would count as a pretty decent snack, in my opinion.

I figure, if you’re going to eat something (peanut butter, a candy bar, a waffle) it might as well have extra protein. It’ll fill you up faster and it helps grow your muscles, which is something we should all strive for and if you don’t, consider yourself judged.
