Three natural skincare products you have to try

It all began with the idea of a mission impossible: save the planet. I was doing a lot of things to reduce my carbon footprint already, like walking to work, recycling, eating more locally grown food, buying eco-friendly household products, and even buying a bike in order to use the car less. Feeling good about all of this, I turned my attention to the next small goal: using natural beauty and skincare products. Enter Vegan Cuts, a team of sleuths who spend their days scouring online shops, festivals, and stores for the very best in this department. Then they offer these products through their online marketplace, monthly boxes, and special edition boxes. Plus, they don’t do just beauty – they’ve delved into food and fashion as well, testing every single product before sharing it with you. I immediately committed to the monthly beauty box, because I figured that it’s the perfect way to discover these cruelty-free brands without dishing out full size prices for full size products. Each month, I receive a delivery of 4-7 new products to try, ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare. I can honestly say that I’ve loved every single sample product I’ve received, and have gone on to order full sizes, and not even only for myself, but as gifts for friends and family as well. Here’s a little glimpse into some goodies you could possibly receive.

Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant: With a range of choices like Bergamot + Lime, Cedarwood + Juniper, Lavender + Sage, and Ylang Ylang + Calendula, these natural deodorants are made of 100% natural ingredients and are aluminum-free, propylene-glycol-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free. Crafted by hand in the Pacific Northwest, they come in two oz. jars, and effectively neutralize underarm odor and absorb wetness (I can attest). Now have fun trying all the different scents!

Petal Fresh Organics Scalp Treatment Conditioner in Tea Tree: This product promotes a healthy scalp and shiny hair, and it’s formulated to help relieve itchiness and flaking. The nourishing tea tree disinfects the scalp while providing fabulous shine.  All products are paraben free, color free, phalate free, and sulfate free.

Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash: I started with the sample I received of the Sea Foam Complete Face Wash, which really did feel like the sea and my skin coming together. It’s actually made with papaya extract, a natural skin softener and non-abrasive exfoliant; sea algae extract which helps normalize skin’s moisture content and remineralizes skin to promote natural brightness; and coconut water, which acts as a natural toner, skin balancer, and cleanser. I loved it so much that I placed my next order for a full size cleanser and also ordered the Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash. FYI, Pacifica products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, formulated without sulfates, animal ingredients, petroleum, parabens, and pththalates.
